Hi devs,

 

Recently there are a few issues/bugs raised wrt Filters usage.

 

Refer to the mailing list with the subject

"Issue with column-counting filters accepting multiple versions of a column"
and

JIRAs like HBASE-6132,  HBASE-6912 (where Lars found some issues with
RowFilter).  May be we can check the importance of these issues and try to
provide a fix for them so that many users will be benefited.

Alex Newman found the HBASE-6912 (so the credit goes to him). That one is already fixed (which includes a test that guards against that in the future).
