RE: [DISCUSS] Increasing the default block size
+1 for increasing it to higher value by defaut (128/256MB)
Most of the deployment which I worked are configured with 256MB and working well.

Subject: [DISCUSS] Increasing the default block size

Heads up - I filed HDFS-4053 to increase the default HDFS block size
in trunk for v3. It's been 64mb forever, and most production clusters
I'm aware of use a higher value, it's worth considering changing the
default.

Thanks,
Eli
