Folks,

 I'm considering cutting a 0.23.1 RC early December. Somethings I'd like to see in it (ideally):

 a) Complete mavenization (thanks to all of Tucu's help so far!)
 b) Oozie fixes for security mode
 c) A bunch of bug-fixes and perf fixes.

Sounds good to me. Let's continue to bill it as "alpha" though - we've
come a long way, but we've still got some work to do ahead of us.

0.23.1 or 0.23.001?

Happy new year folks!

An update on hadoop-0.23.1...

Things are moving along at a fair clip, Pig integration is done (yaay!) and we hope to also finish some bug fixes to complete Oozie integration by early next week. The only remaining work is some performance related fixes which we are confident we can nail in the next couple of weeks (primarily because they weren't around even 2 months ago! ;) ).
