Hello,
Is your key published somewhere ? http://people.apache.org/~blee/sqoop-1.4.0-incubating/KEYS doesn't have informations. 2011/11/8 Bilung Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > This will be the first incubator release for Apache Sqoop. Yes, this public key is available on MIT server (pgp.mit.edu).
The information is also available inside the public key itself. You can import the KEYS file into your local repository first (such as "gpg --import KEYS"). Then you can list the key information (such as "gpg --list-keys") and verify the release tarball (such as "gpg --verify <file>.asc <file>"). Bilung, they need to show up here:
http://www.apache.org/dist/incubator/sqoop/KEYS similar to http://www.apache.org/dist/incubator/mrunit/KEYS typically projects commit them to svn as follows, again mrunit example: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/mrunit/dist/KEYS Also see whirr how to release: https://cwiki.apache.org/WHIRR/how-to-release.html Patrick On Tue, Nov 8, 2011 at 1:35 PM, Bilung Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Yes, this public key is available on MIT server (pgp.mit.edu). > > The information is also available inside the public key itself. Re: [VOTE] sqoop-1.4.0-incubating releasePatrick Hunt 2011-11-09, 07:15
-1 in general looks good except for the following:
1) The Sqoop incubator status page needs to be updated: http://incubator.apache.org/projects/sqoop.html "Verify distribution rights" has not been finalized according to the page. 2) hadoop-mrunit-0.20.2-CDH3b2-SNAPSHOT.jar is included in lib seems a leftover from cdh prior to moving to apache? I don't think we should be including cdh here. (note mrunit is in the process of finalizing their first release, check with Brock) 3) more of a nit but running "ant releaseaudit" fails with "CHANGES.txt" being flagged. I don't think that file requires a license, perhaps best to include in excludes list. 4) tests failed ("ant test" on linux ocelot) Testsuite: com.cloudera.sqoop.hbase.TestHBaseImport Tests run: 1, Failures: 0, Errors: 1, Time elapsed: 0 sec Testcase: testBasicUsage took 0.003 sec Caused an ERROR Timeout occurred. Please note the time in the report does not reflect the time until the timeout. junit.framework.AssertionFailedError: Timeout occurred. Please note the time in the report does not reflect the time until the timeout. Thanks a lot for your feedback!
In response to your comments, 1) Status page updated. 2) MRUnit jar removed. 3) CHANGES.txt excluded from license audit. A copy of license audit result is included for reference. 4) Those HBase tests may be sensitive to timeout (if not in a dedicated environment). A copy of test result is also included for reference. Below is the information of the new release candidate rc1. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The list of fixed issues: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/sqoop/branches/branch-1.4.0/CHANGES.txt The tarball (.tar.gz), signature (.asc), checksum (.md5), license audit result (ant_releaseaudit.log), and test result (ant_test.log): http://people.apache.org/~blee/sqoop-1.4.0-incubating-rc1/ The tag to be voted upon: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/sqoop/tags/release-1.4.0-rc1 The KEYS file: http://www.apache.org/dist/incubator/sqoop/KEYS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Tue, Nov 8, 2011 at 11:15 PM, Patrick Hunt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > -1 in general looks good except for the following: > > 1) The Sqoop incubator status page needs to be updated: > http://incubator.apache.org/projects/sqoop.html > > "Verify distribution rights" has not been finalized according to the page. > > 2) hadoop-mrunit-0.20.2-CDH3b2-SNAPSHOT.jar is included in lib > > seems a leftover from cdh prior to moving to apache? Bilung, typically you should start a new vote thread with the new details.
