Is there any reason why the Piggybank JAR is not available on Maven
repositories ? I dug both Maven Central and the Cloudera repo and have
not been able to find it.
I believe that it would be useful to publish this artifact. It enables
users to easily package whichever version they want using standard tools
like ivy/maven/gradle. Even if the pig and piggybank version match,
having a piggybacked piggybank allows to avoid having to specify
hard-coded path in Pig scripts (at the expense of runtime overhead).
What do you think ? Is it conceivable to upload the JARs of already
released versions ?
