Dave can you help me debug this?  Modify
accumulo/trunk/test/src/test/java/org/apache/accumulo/test/MiniAccumuloClusterTest.java
 Make it print out the temporary folder so you can where data is being
put in the filesystem. The setupMiniCluster() method creates the temp
folder.  It should create something like /tmp/junit<some #>.   Also
increase the @Test(timeout = ) to something big, after the test times
out it deletes the logs.   Then run the test and when it gets stuck
take a look at the logs in  /tmp/junit<some #>/logs.   Hopefully the
logs will show us what is wrong with the servers.  You can send the
logs directly to me.
