[VOTE] Bylaws for the Pig project
Alan Gates 2010-10-07, 16:22
I propose that we adopt the bylaws proposed at http://wiki.apache.org/pig/ProposedByLaws as the bylaws for the Pig project. In a self referential use of these bylaws I further propose that this vote will be open for 10 business days and require +1 votes from two thirds of PMC members (which works out to 9 votes). All Pig users are encouraged to vote, though only PMC votes will be binding. Here's my +1 vote. Alan.

I said 10 days for the vote, but looking in the bylaws I notice I should have said six. Six business days have elapsed. We have 10 binding +1 votes, 2 non-binding +1 votes, and no -1s. 9 binding +1s were needed. The vote passes. I'll get the new bylaws posted on the website. Alan.
