RE: out of memory running examples
Everything is box-stock default, and I am running in local mode attempting to follow the documentation verbatim.

No luck on setting io.sort.mb down to 10.

What is your io.sort.mb set to? Given the heap size, you may have to
lower it down.

And did you intend to run the program in 'local' mode (i.e.
non-distributed mode, no JobTracker but LocalJobRunner)?
