It seems to me that in 1.3.5 there isn't a mechanism parallel to SQL
'group by'. That is, if you imagine some data like the following
(assume distinct rowids):

a b 1
a b 3
a c 2
a c 5
a d 3
a d 7

I want to end up with

a b 4
a c 7
a d 10

Do the 1.4 combiners cover this ground? Is there something in 1.3.5
that I'm missing?
