I'm new to pig, I use it on MacOS, and I wonder if there is a way to
avoid the double log traces in the grunt console, and if there is a
way to make the ^D key work (the DEL key).

I think this is really inconvenient.

I think officially, Pig is supported on linux and on Windows (with Cygwin).
But I have seen people using it on MacOS.

No, just ^d to delete the character just after the cursor (as in bash)

^a and ^e work as expected (beginning of line and end of
line)backspace work as expected, but there is nothing to delete the
character just after de cursor (usually done with the DEL key or
with ^d on PC)

Pig uses jline to do command line editing in grunt, so it supports  
whatever jline supports.
