i have tried both 1.6.3 and 1.7.3, but i got the same error in avro c++.
i install avro c++ follow the instructions in the README file, and
then i tried the examples given by avro c++.
when building the examples, i got the errors:

custom.cc:(.text+0x10e): undefined reference to `avro::binaryDecoder()'
