Hi all,
I am new to PIG. I checked out Pig code from svn with svn co
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/pig/trunk.

Then I moved to the trunk directory and ran apt command. I am getting build
failed error. This is the error.

cc-compile:

BUILD FAILED
/usr/local/pig-0.10.0/trunk/build.xml:406: Problem: failed to create task
or type javacc
Cause: the class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.javacc.JavaCC was
not found.
        This looks like one of Ant's optional components.
Action: Check that the appropriate optional JAR exists in
        -/usr/share/ant/lib
        -/root/.ant/lib
        -a directory added on the command line with the -lib argument

Do not panic, this is a common problem.
The commonest cause is a missing JAR.

This is not a bug; it is a configuration problem
Total time: 18 seconds

Can some on help me how to resolve this?

you need to install ant-junit
