The -n argument to Application is mandatory but unused and also its purpose
is poorly documented.

Should we drop it ?

Yes. If you have more as one agent in your file (agent1, agent2 etc)

bin/flume-ng agent -n agent1 -f conf/flume-test.conf --conf conf

bin/flume-ng agent agent1  -f ... -n ... -conf ...
