Re: [DISCUSS] Backport JDK7 fixes to 0.94?

Sigh... Backport JDK7 *fixes*?

While trying to fix TestSplitTransactionOnCluster I found that 0.94 I cannot run it at all with JDK7 (it just times out). In HBase trunk we fixed these and most of the other JDK7 related issues, correct?
Should we backport these fixes to 0.94?
If these changes are not too extensive, I'd vote"yes".

Cool. Is there a list of jiras (or a toplevel jira) for this? (I know I could just search, but asking is easier :) )

HBASE-5261 could be an umbrella JIRA for JDK7 related work but isn't currently maintained as one.

That's what I know:
HBASE-6182 (HBASE-6181, HBASE-6202, HBASE-6206) HBASE-7130 (a little trick, need to ignore the pb related stuff) HBASE-7113 HBASE-6915 HBASE-6917 HBASE-6921 HBASE-6355
Thanks, Jimmy

I linked some stuff to and made some others subtasks of HBASE-5261. On Thu, Nov 15, 2012 at 4:23 PM, Jimmy Xiang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Awesome. Thanks Andy and Jimmy. I'll try to knock his stuff off for 0.94.4. -- Lars
