What is the zookeeper-3.4.2/contrib directory used for?
If remove this directory, can zookeeper-3.4.2 run normally? I mean, if we remove contrib directory, will the zookeeper-3.4.2 basic function be effected?

Lynn,
 Its used for the non mainline contributions like python/perl bindings
and others. You should be able to delete the contrib directory if you
just using mainline ZK.

May I ask why do you want to delete the contrib dir?

Thank you for your quick response.
I just want to know what this directory is used for. At first I assume it is used for UT running, but I found UT can passed even remove this directory.

I think the src/contrib directory is also not for mainline ZK. And this is also can be removed. Is this correct? Thank you.
BTW, there is a LGPL license jar files is include in contrib directory.
