This might be a stupid question, but I'm seeing a new tag 0.8.0 in the kafka git repository. Does this mean, a final 0.8.0 release has been created and can be fetched using this tag? I couldn't find an official announcement though. Should one better wait for it, or did I overlook it?
It is undergoing voting on release candidate 1 until November 4th. So yes, very close to being released.
