...afaik you dont 'have' to store the consumed offsets in zk right, this isonly automatic with some of the clients?why not store them in a data store that can write at the rate that yourequire?...

...Since There is only 1 chroot for a zk cluster, if you specified for each server there would be a potential for error/mismatchThings would probably go really bad if you had mismatched chroots...
